1.1 The Grand Palace
The Grand Palace and Wat Pra Kaeo is the city landmark on a huge compound. The whole
area is surrounded by the big white wall. The Grand Palace has an area of about 1.5
square kilometers and include the Royal Chapel, the Royal Collection of Weapons,
the Coin Pavillion, and a small museum containing artifacts from the Grand Palace.
1.2 Vimanmek Palace
Vimanmek Palace (Cloud Mansion) is located behind the National Assembly. This palace is
believed to be the world largest building made entirely of golden teak.The building was originally constructed on Srichang Island in the Gulf of Siam by King Rama V ( King Chulalongkorn). In 1901, the building was moved to its present site which was Bangkok suburbs at that time.
Museum Hours : 9.30 a.m. - 3.15 p.m. everyday.
Traditional Thai dancing :Two shows daily at 10.30 a.m. and at 2 p.m.

Proper attire is required.
1.3 Suanpakkad
Suan Pakkad Palace is located at 352 Sri Ayutthaya Road, not far from the intersection of Phaya Thai Road. It used to be the residence of Princess Chumbhot of
Nagara Svarga, one of Thailand's leading gardeners and art collector. In the compound of Suan Pakkad Palace, there are five traditional Thai houses. Collections include : Asian art
and antiques, seashells, mineral crystals, and pottery and bronz objects from the pre-historic birial ground at Ban Chiang, in the northeast of Thailand.
Suan Pakkad Palace is open everyday, except Sunday and national holidays, from 9.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m.
Admission fee is 80 Baht.
