Glossary of magical ingredients
Chivas Regal 18 Year Old is a rich blend of 20 single malt Scotch whiskies created by Master Blender Colin Scott.
Choya Umeshu. Umeshu is a traditional Japanese liqueur made from ume (plum) fruit from Osaka, Japan. Its taste is sweet and tart with hints of almond.
Cynar (pronounced CHEE-nar) is an amaro (bitter), a group of liqueurs famous for their digestive (digestivo), medicinal and low alcohol qualities. An Italian after-dinner drink made by steeping 13 herbs in a spirit made from artichokes… good for the liver!
Drambuie the iconic golden Scotch whisky liqueur with a secret blend of heather honey, herbs and spices.
Fernet-Branca is another type of amaro or bitter herbal liqueur created by Bernardino Branca in Italy. Still made from 27 herbs according to the original secret recipe.
Mancino Rosso Amaranto is made from a base of Trebbiano wine and sugar beet spirit, infused with 38 different botanicals, a full-flavoured sweet vermouth.
Mancino Sakura is a limited edition Sakura Vermouth celebrating the glorious cherry blossom. A Trebbiano wine base with cherry blossoms and a lovely pink tint.
Mancino Vermouth Chinato was created by renowned Italian bartender Giancarlo Mancino. He combined Secco (dry), Rosso (red) and Blanco (white) vermouth with a splash of red wine and quinine bark to create an herby, complex vermouth perfect for cocktails.
Pimento Dram is the finest Jamaican rum infused with allspice (flavours of cinnamon, nutmeg and clove all at once).
Tio Pepe Dry Sherry the famous sherry from Andalusia, Spain.
Vermouth is wine with a hit of brandy, infused with herbs spices and sugar. There are two main kinds: Red (sweet) vermouth, from Italy, and white (dry) vermouth, from France.
